Taking a few moments to focus on our health today can be an important step towards a healthier tomorrow.
As part of Project Sunkalp, a cancer screening camp was conducted at Achurapakkam PHC, Madurantakam, bringing preventive healthcare and early detection services closer to the local community.
A total of 44 beneficiaries participated in the screening, including 6 men and 38 women.
The camp provided:
• 32 iBreast Examinations
• 41 Oral Examinations
• 13 Pap Smear Tests
The camp was graced by the esteemed presence of Block Medical Officer Dr. Suresh and Medical Officer Dr. Priya. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both of them for their valuable support, encouragement, and contribution towards promoting community health and cancer awareness.
Cancer may not always show noticeable warning signs in its early stages. Regular screening can help identify suspicious changes early and encourage timely medical consultation and follow-up.
The participation of 38 women highlights the importance of accessible breast and cervical cancer screening. By bringing screening services closer to communities, Project Sunkalp encourages people to prioritise their health and take proactive steps towards prevention and early detection.
For many communities, accessing specialised healthcare can be challenging due to distance, cost, time, or limited awareness. Project Sunkalp works to reduce these barriers by bringing cancer screening services closer to people through local healthcare facilities and community-based camps.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to work with PHCs, local communities, healthcare professionals, and CSR partners to expand access to cancer screening across Madurantakam.
Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan, with transparent camp-wise impact reporting for CSR partnerships.
